about us

I am the Voice of the Voiceless
Through me the innocent shall speak
Till the world's deaf ear be made to hear
The wrongs of the wordless weak.
Oh shame on the mothers of mortals
Who do not stoop to teach
The sorrow that lies in dear, knowing eyes
The sorrow that has no speech.
From street, from cage, from kennel
From stable and from zoo
The wall of my tortured kin proclaims the sin
Of the mighty against the frail.
But I am my brothers' & sisters' keeper
And I shall fight their fight
And speak the word for beast and bird
Till the world shall set things right.

BED AND BREAKFAST

Exclusive stays for your dog

Go Doggy offers exclusive stays for your dog while you are on vacation, away on business, at work and want exercise and socialization time for your dog.

My belief is simple. A dog needs to be a dog and needs to be around other dogs. I enjoy the outdoors with the pack on a secure 4 acre farm.

Your dog will have a spiritual experience in the sense that they will be brought back to the days of their wolf ancestors. Even at play, the communication between the pack is constant. When we are together, my position is to allow free-flow while guiding the lessons that are constantly taking place throughout the pack.

I study and practice the use of dog psychology, meditation, yoga, eastern philosophies, energy, among many other modalities. Among my mentors are Cesar Millan, Deepak Chopra, Lynne McTaggart, Mary Occhino to name a few.

My clients are often amazed at the changes they notice in their dogs after spending time with me. I am very honored to work with people and their dogs.

I begin by having a meet and greet at the farm with you and your dog. A client's dog must pass the test of meeting the pack. They must also be aware of the five horses that are at the farm. All must mesh nicely together for a happy stay. Owners must accept these terms and be comfortable with having their dogs around other dogs and around horses. Dogs are kept separate from the horses, but animals are animals and you as a prospective client must realize this. Go Doggy K-9 Wellness and Rehabilitation will not be held liable for any issues that may arise in this or any setting.

For those client's dogs who do not pass the meet and greet I can refer you to local pet sitters that will visit your home while you are away.

When you first arrive for your meet and greet, you will enter the first area with your dog. The pack will be in another fenced area, but all will be able to sniff and see each other through the fence. We will meet first and talk about your dog. This also gives your dog time to roam about and take in all the good smells and to get acquainted with the pack.

At the appropriate time, I will intro your dog(s) to some of the pack and go from there.

If your dog ends up staying at my BnB, I also require an emergency contact name, number and address that we can contact should any issues arise where your dog could not continue to stay with me (dog fights that could arise, marking inside the house, aggressiveness, stress related issues caused by your absence [incessant barking, nervousness that does not cease, etc.].

While your dog is BnB'ng with me, they are treated as you would treat them. I take down detailed information on the care of your pet on a standard contract. You are provided with a copy of this contract.

Your dog will not be crated, unless this is part of your direction to us (crate training). Your dog will stay in-doors in a home environment, not a kennel environment. This is one of the reasons we are exclusive.

I require that you bring the required amount of dog food for your pet's stay at The Inn. Always bring more than normal due to their very active life style with me. I require that your dog have a collar. I also require that you bring enough treats to last their stay. Bedding is not needed. If there is not enough food to last their stay, I will purchase more dog food (not necessarily any special type that you have purchased) and I will then be reimbursed upon your return. Each meal is an additional $3 per meal, per dog, if your food should run out.

I require a topical flea repellant to be applied to your dog the day before their stay with me. You must ensure that your dog has NO fleas and has not had fleas in the past month from the time of their stay with me. Your pet must also be up-to-date on all vaccines and proof of this must be brought with you to your initial appointment or on your drop-off day. If no proof is apparent, we cannot keep your pet at The Inn.

All of these details and more, can be found on the contract.

There is plenty of play time outside, unless the weather is inclement. Your dog basically becomes part of my pack and has a thoroughly enjoyable vacation at the same time you are!

Since my BnB offering is an exclusive service, I fill up very quickly. I do not take more than 2-3 dogs at my BnB at one time. I am currently booking 1 month in advance. If you have a vacation coming up, please call well in advance to ensure the possibility of reserving this service.

Clients are charged by the day, therefore, if you book your dogs for a 4 day stay (example: Thurs, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), you will be charged for 4 days. It does not matter what time your drop- off and pick-up times are. Example: If you drop your dog off at 7pm in the evening, you will be charged a day rate; or if you pick up your dog at 9am in the morning, you will be charged a day rate.

daycare/EXERCOLOGY

Exercology™ is the environment in which exercise, dog psychology and energy are used hand-in-hand as the nature of the pack intended.

Here at Go Doggy K-9, my belief is simple. A dog needs to be a dog and needs to be around other dogs. I enjoy the outdoors with the pack on this secure 4 acre farm.

Your dog will have a spiritual experience in the sense that they will be brought back to the days of their wolf ancestors. Even at play, the communication between the pack is constant. When we are together, my position is to allow free-flow while guiding the lessons that are constantly taking place throughout the pack.

I study and practice the use of dog psychology, meditation, yoga, eastern philosophies, energy, Reiki I, among many other modalities. Among my mentors are Cesar Millan, Deepak Chopra, Buck Brannaman, to name a few.

My clients are often amazed at the changes they notice in their dogs after spending time with me and my pack.

Each dog will come for a meet and greet, which is free. At this appointment I will interact with you and your dog. Your dog will initially be able to roam the farm in a specific area. After a short time, your dog will be introduced to the pack and continue on with his or her journey in the large front field.

We do everything in line with nature. Nothing is rushed, so when making your appointment, please be aware of this.

The purpose of this appointment is to meet you and your dog; but more importantly this is where I get to see how you interact with your dog and how your dog reacts to the pack, etc. By the conclusion of your appointment I will be able to tell you if your dog is a candidate for my Exercology™ classes.

For example, I may observe that with rehabilitation your dog would be a great Exercology™ client. If you are interested we would set up private behavioral trainings at your home to help rehabilitate your dog and also to guide you in the ways of dog psychology and energy communication.

The pack consists of female canines ranging from American Bulldogs to Boston Terriers. They are a wonderful teaching pack.

I often refer to my pack as the 'medicinal pack' for the calm energy they give to incoming dogs. Dogs quickly teach each other where they belong in the pack and what is expected of them; what is acceptable behavior and what is not. I, above all else, am the pack leader; but within the hierarchy of the canine pack there is also a pack leader.

Exercology™ classes take place outdoors, year-round. The only time I will not have Exercology™ classes is in inclement weather and extremely cold weather. I keep in constant contact with my Exercology™ clients, letting you know what each week will bring as far as scheduling. Winters classes are shorter and sometimes may be cancelled.

My clients are a wonderful group of people who understand what I do and what the true meaning of Exercology™ is.

All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. Male dogs sometimes need to be neutered sooner if they have matured before the age of 6 months (testacles drop).

BEHAVIORALS

My behavioral sessions are done in the privacy of your home.

My teachings combine dog psychology and the translation of dog body language. I train the owner to read their dog's body language and energy while giving a calm-assertive energy to their dog(s). The more you can think and view life from a dog's perspective, in particular - the alpha dog (you create the rules, boundaries and limitations for your dog), the faster you will acquire your calm-assertive energy and pack leader skills.

With any language, the more you practice it, the better you will get at it. And aren't we all lucky to have a teacher, our dog(s), living with us all the time! Observation, without words, is a masterful teacher.

You will learn to understand signals and energy from your dog, so you can better handle any situation or issue you are having.

A wonderful side effect of this type of training for the human, is that you will find you deal with people and life situations differently, too. This training is nature based, therefore, it synergizes more than just our relationship with our dog(s).

Your session will last for 2 hours. Follow-up sessions are at your request. I like to allow my clients time to live with their new skill set and tools in forming a new relationship with their canine(s).

Learning to live in harmony with nature, makes everything possible.

TESTIMONIALS

I have a 4-year-old Australian Cattle dog named Nacho, who was extremely anxious. My husband and I knew he was a good dog but had difficulty calming him down around new people and other dogs. Nacho needed direction and guidance and we didn’t know how to offer this to him.

After one session with Kathy, we learned several techniques as how to read Nacho’s body language and communicate with him in a way he understood. Nacho now respects us,
has boundaries, and we are all living a much happier and calm lifestyle.

Nacho has also been attending Go Doggy K-9 Exercology (Day Care) twice a week for a few months now and this has drastically changed his behavior for the better. He has the chance to run around, play and interact with other dogs.

Since working with Kathy and attending doggy day care, Nacho is less anxious, more receptive to commands, and lives a happy and healthy life the way he is meant to.

Kathy truly helped us give Nacho the life he was meant to have and we are tremendously grateful for everything she has taught us!

Milo

Once we adopted Milo, every vacation meant anxiety for me leaving him. We tried two different places to board him, with disappointing results, as we’d return to find a dog who hadn’t been eating.

I’m happy to say that Go Doggy K-9 changed all that! We can now go away for an overnight or a week or longer and know our “son” is happy and well cared for.

We do daycare occasionally, too, so he can have a chance to interact with other dogs and he always comes home exhausted...which means he’s had a great day!

So glad our niece recommended Kathy. We would recommend her to any pet parent.

Our family has grown to love Kathy! Tyson is so well taken care of whether it is during his daycare days or when we are away. Kathy is great with Tyson.

He has become a different dog since going to her over a year ago. We have utilized Kathy’s suggestions in dealing with behaviors at home and they have worked!

When I pull out that leash in the morning and say “Do you want to go to doggy daycare?”, he is ECSTATIC...that tail just doesn’t stop wagging until we get there.

We are so thankful for Kathy and her dedication to our Tyson.

Noel and Miss Ella

Kathy IS the female Cesar Millan! I can’t express enough what a life saver she has been for our family.

It all began 5 years ago when our strong willed, independent black lab, Ella, had a behavioral visit which resulted in us learning how to communicate with her. Needless to say my excessive verbal communication wasn’t cutting it! Ella then began Exercology (daycare) and hasn’t stopped attending since. It is her happy place and her behavior has changed dramatically from the interactions on the farm and with the pack, her best friends.

If it wasn’t for Kathy in our lives I would have never entertained getting a second dog. She made all the difference and had the faith that we could create a peaceful, happy pack of our own. I can’t thank her enough for all she has done for us.

I am constantly recommending her services because all dogs deserve the amazing treatment they receive at Go Doggy. The only place our fur babies go is there and I’m so grateful for her expertise and loving kindness to my girls.

Zack loves Go Doggy! He has his girlfriend Pharrah, who he just adores, and he comes home at the end of the day physically and mentally drained which is a “win-win” for us all.

We would definitely recommend Kathy for any “bully” breed because she is highly qualified and is outstanding with them!
